What counts as a summary?
Each call to /v1/summary counts as one summary. Search calls (/v1/search) are free and don't count toward your quota.
What happens when I hit my monthly limit?
You'll get a 429 response with an upgrade link. Your key keeps working: search still works, only summaries are paused until the next billing month or you upgrade.
Can I upgrade mid-month?
Yes. Your new quota takes effect immediately when payment is processed.
Is the data real-time?
Summaries are generated from the most recent filing available on SEC EDGAR, typically current within 24 hours of a company filing.
What form types are supported?
10-K (annual), 10-Q (quarterly), and 8-K (current events) are supported on all plans.
Do you store the summaries?
Summaries are cached after first generation so repeat lookups are instant. Raw filing text is never stored; only the generated summary and financial metadata.
